We recently took a family day trip to COSI in Columbus Ohio. Just under a two-hour drive from Cincinnati, we left early enough to arrive just after they opened at 10 a.m. Conveniently, there is a parking garage adjacent to COSI, but you do have to pay to park there. We exchanged our parking ticket at the COSI ticket counter for a $10 flat rate ticket. You’ll pay as you leave the garage. Before arriving, we purchased our tickets online, including an add-on for the motion simulator. Even if you buy tickets online, you still go to the ticket counter for wristbands. We realized that an annual pass cost only $40 more than what we paid online for tickets for the day. So, we upgraded them at the counter.

After we settled our tickets, we started on the top level at the Little Kidspace. Then, we just worked our way down through as many exhibits as we possibly could. Let me tell you, having four kids between the ages of 4 and 16, it can be hard to find somewhere that truly entertains them all. COSI is that place. They were all engaged and entertained the entire time. We did buy lunch in the cafe, which frankly is a bit pricey but not terribly unexpected for a museum center. We noticed that quite a few people seemed to bring a packed lunch. So, that seems to be an option as well.

While we made our way through most (though not all) exhibits, we did not leave until nearly 4:30. Y’all, we got there just after they opened and stayed until just before they closed. 6 hours! It was so fun, and I highly recommend it. Sophia even rode a tightrope unicycle 17 feet above the ground! Nearly everything is interactive and hands on. It is well worth the price of admission.
